Acceptance Matters is a virtual conference hosted by the North East Autism Society. Featuring a panel of autistic speakers, the conference will cover the topics of autistic wellbeing, autism and employment, communication as autistic parents, and understanding autistic experience.

This talk will talk about autistic communication and the factors that influence it. It will provide insight into understanding why autistic people may utilise things like echolalia, scripting, deflection and speaking in the third person. Read more

This talk will cover key aspects of children and young people’s mental health including important topics such as stimming, masking, school-based trauma and autistic burn out. Read more
