Join the team Volunteer Why volunteer? Why volunteer? It’s estimated that volunteering adds at least £20 billion value to the UK economy every year. Volunteers are in virtually every sector of society and here at NEAS we are keen to be part of this by building a thriving volunteer programme for people within the North East community to make a difference to the lives of autistic children, young people, adults and their families. We have a dedicated and robust recruitment and training programme designed to rapidly up skill volunteers to be able to undertake a number of opportunities which directly benefit the children, young people and adults we work with. You benefit because you have the opportunity to: Gain experience Take steps towards a change of career Use your time well in retirement Give something back to the community Improve your CV Help raise funds Get involved in something new and different Make a difference We benefit because this enables us to: Draw on the enthusiasm, skills and experience of individuals within the local community.
