It’s estimated that volunteering adds at least £20 billion value to the UK economy every year. Volunteers are in virtually every sector of society and here at NEAS we are keen to be part of this by building a thriving volunteer programme for people within the North East community to make a difference to the lives of people with autism.

We have a dedicated and robust recruitment and training programme designed to rapidly up skill volunteers to be able to undertake a number of opportunities which directly benefit the children, young people and adults we work with.

You benefit because you have the opportunity to:
  • Gain experience
  • Take steps towards a change of career
  • Use your time well in retirement
  • Give something back to the community
  • Improve your CV
  • Help raise funds
  • Get involved in something new and different
  • Make a difference for people with autism
We benefit because this enables us to:
  • Draw on the enthusiasm, skills and experience of individuals within the local community.
  • Enhance our existing services and support the work of the Society.
  • Add value to existing and new services.
  • Bring a unique approach to the work of the society.

We offer a range of volunteering opportunities enabling people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference to people with autism.
