This category is for staff who have started working for the North East Autism Society, for the first time, in the last three years and is not age specific. 

The award recognises an individual member of staff who has created or grasped an opportunity to substantially develop and grow in their role within this time and who has made a significant contribution to their team or area of work.

Here are some examples of what they may have done:

  • Undertaken additional studies / learning in relation to autism
  • Used their own personal interests and skills to add value to the team, service or to the lives of the service users in their care
  • Embraced their own personal development and that of others in the team 
  • Making positive service changes and raising team morale. 
  • Embraced the Society’s autism acceptance campaign

For this award we need to see:

  • That evidence offered happened within the three year-period from August 2019 - August 2022
  • An example of how the nominee has personally contributed to the team / service they work within using their own skills, talents and characteristics. 
  • An example of how the nominee has surpassed expectations of someone new to NEAS
  • Any other comments / additional evidence.
