The woodwork Tutor utilised a naturally occurring opportunity when a range of new outdoor equipment was being installed on the college site. Learners approached the external contractors to ask them a range of questions linking to health and safety. Learners transferred the skills they had learnt in the woodwork workshop and made comparisons to the health and safety procedures required when working outside with machinery. This gave opportunity for the learners to see functionally how health and safety is applied on site. Manage Cookie Preferences
