As part of this, learners were supported to visit local shop ‘Wing and a Prayer’, which is a gift and art store selling a range of handmade products. They visited the shop, had a tour of the environment and engaged in discussion with the owner. Prior to the visit the learners were provided with theoretical knowledge in relation to enterprise activities. They prepared a range of questions to ask the business owner to support them in understanding what planning goes into enterprise activities which supported them to identify further work in relation to their own projects for their Etsy shop. The visit supported the learners to increase their knowledge and understanding of enterprise activities, developed their employability and communication skills and prompted community inclusion.
