During the spring and summer terms, the Horticulture group grew a range of fruit and vegetables from seed on the college horticulture site. This term learners have harvested their produce, utilising some of the fresh ingredients in the college kitchen. They also delivered a fresh produce food parcel to the food bank providing vital support to families in the local community. Providing support to the food bank has increased learners understanding of the needs of others less fortunate than themselves and promoted community and social inclusion.
