Working together to inspire, support, celebrate and equip autistic and neurodiverse people to fulfil their potential in life.

Hazel class has been learning all about Pancake Day / Shrove Tuesday and why it is celebrated within their RE lessons. They have learned that on Shrove Tuesday some people use up their ingredients to make pancakes before Lent.

Pupils enjoyed exploring different materials, ingredients, and equipment that can be used to create pancakes. They loved tasting the lemons and some went back for more, describing how it tasted! Playdough pancake batter was created by following the instructions, they then had many attempts at flipping the pancakes.

Hazel also organised a whole school pancake race event! Pupils and staff from each class came and enjoyed racing and flipping the pancakes to the finish line. This worked on pupils' gross motor skills and coordination as well as being lots of fun. Afterward, they went to the atrium to decorate some pancakes to enjoy!

Lots of fun was had by students and pupils!
