For our stall, we decided to make chocolate bark as this food is mentioned in the last book of the series. This turned into a project encouraging Lime pupils to think about how to plan for an event, budget and implement our own plans. The project built on lots of skills and knowledge. To build on our knowledge of managing money and accessing a supermarket to buy ingredients, we found a recipe and researched the price of the ingredients that we needed. Following this, we completed a petty cash form to request money and managed the money when we bought our ingredients. During the trip, we were able to compare the prices of chocolates online to the ones we came across in store to identify whether there were any offers. As we did, we calculated the amount that could be saved and reinvested the savings into more confectionery to add to the bark. During this task, we further developed our independent living skills through researching recipes, prices of ingredients and keeping money safe in our possession. Manage Cookie Preferences
