Created by Belgian artist collective Captain Boomer, the realistic model of a juvenile sperm whale was brought to Redcar Beach to highlight the plight of our ocean creatures and pollution of our seas. Pupils from across school used public transport to travel into Redcar and visit the installation. They were amazed by how realistic it looked and said they felt sad that some real whales are killed by rubbish in the oceans. It has made students even more determined to reduce, reuse and recycle rather than throw their waste away. See more news Manage Cookie Preferences
