Pupils at Thornhill Park School Portland site received a visit from Tyne and Wear Fire Service.

This links in with this terms topic of 'Travel and Transport', as well as increasing understanding about fire safety and the people who help us. 

Pupils had the opportunity to explore the fire engine and equipment used. Pupils learned how they can become a firefighter, discovered more about the uniforms firefighters wear, and increased their understanding of how a fire engine works.
