Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for pupils aged 4-19

Our mission is to work together inspiring, supporting, celebrating and equipping autistic and neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Learning more about safety

Pupils from Thornhill Park School Portland site visited Safety Works in Newcastle.

The interactive safety centre provided innovative learning experiences, enabling our pupils to participate safely in realistic simulations of everyday hazards, and learn how to prevent them.

This included fire safety, road safety and water safety. Pupils completed activities related to real life situations and scenarios to further develop their skills and understanding of safety.
