Thornhill Park School

Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for pupils aged 4-19

Our mission is to work together inspiring, supporting, celebrating and equipping autistic and neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Making toast

Pupils in Comet and Rainbow class have been developing their life skills this week by making toast.

The children were able to identify the bread, helped to prepare the bread with the staff and selected their choice of spread. Pupils developed their fine motor skills by using cutlery to scoop and spread butter and jam.

Transport Cookery

Pupils in Rainbow and Comet class have been exploring transport themed cookery, linking it to their exploration of road based vehicles in this terms topic.

They looked at healthy eating by using a range of fruits and developed their fine motor skills through cutting and positioning their fruit to make cars with four wheels.
