'Growing the power and potential of a neurodiverse workforce'

Where are you from?

I was born in Newcastle and live in Gosforth with my wife, two children and our dog Maverick.

What is your role at Diversity NE?

Employment Adviser/Business Development Officer.

How long have you worked for Azure?

I have worked for Azure for 8 years in total. I first joined Azure in 2008 until 2015. I then returned in September 2020 as I have a strong belief in the charity and their goal of "improving the lives of people who are disabled or disadvantaged".

Can you share a career highlight?

Working in partnership with a national employer we were awarded the Percy Hedley Foundation award for supporting and progressing Disabled people in employment.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job has always been seeing clients develop and achieve their personal goals/objectives.

Why did you want to be involved with Diversity NE?

The Diversity NE project provides a great opportunity for two organisations with considerable experience and expertise to work in partnership and deliver a project which can have a positive impact on the lives of a diverse range of people.
