Every month representatives from each class gather for the Student Council Meeting to discuss information they have collected from their peers regarding their thoughts for further development of our school. In Novembers meeting, pupil representative, Brooke, from Class 3, spoke passionately about the waste of paper throughout our school. Whilst she conveyed the enthusiasm of all student’s interaction with crafts and projects, she stated that this resulted in an "awful lot of paper". Her statement to the Student Council was met with agreement from other class representatives and the request for recycling bins was recorded as an action to be discussed with the School Leadership Team. What we did: Following this meeting, recycling bins have now been purchased and are placed throughout the school grounds, with recycling bins specifically for paper in each of the classrooms. Each class has implemented a weekly rota to empty these bins to ensure all items are recycled, reducing waste and making a positive impact to our environment. See more news Manage Cookie Preferences
