Employment Futures

Employment Futures exists to help remove barriers to meaningful employment for autistic adults and/or those with learning difficulties.

We offer a package of support for employers including specialised training and coaching.

Our expert team are on hand to help you as an employer. As a current or prospective employer of neurodiverse people, or those with a disability, we can help you really understand and support your employees.

Becoming a more inclusive employer will enable you to access untapped skills and talents and can potentially save your organisation money through employee retention and skills development.

What we can offer you:
  • Bespoke training packages – tailored to the needs of the employee, the employer and the workplace
  • Education - helping to reduce any fear or stigma associated with employing people with additional needs.
  • Expert advice and coaching to help businesses fulfil equality and diversity best practice.
  • Assessment – suggested ‘reasonable adjustments’ to create a work environment designed to get the best from every member of your team

Employer Support can often be provided free of charge via a government-funded Access to Work grant.

What employers are saying...

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Derek at Employment Futures who has massively assisted me with bringing a young apprentice into the organisation.

Derek met with our apprentice, myself and our Occupational Health Team to conduct an assessment from which he produced a comprehensive report. The report massively assisted us as an organisation to not only identify a suitable role for our apprentice but also to identify any training needs that we could undertake. With the permission of the candidate I was able to share the report with the manager of the team, which has greatly assisted them with what they can put in place to help and support him, but more importantly, was able to give them an awareness and understanding.

"We couldn’t have asked for a better service." - Sarah Jones, HR Officer, Durham Constabulary.
