Mackenzie Thorpe Centre

The Mackenzie Thorpe Centre is an independent specialist school based in South Bank, Redcar and Cleveland for pupils aged 5-19

Working together to inspire, support, celebrate and equip autistic and neurodiverse people to fulfil their potential in life.

This week, pupils from the Mackenzie Thorpe Centre took part in an enterprise day activity. They all prepared an item that they wanted to sell and then we invited parents along to buy some items!

Pupils from Phoenix Yellow made homemade lemonade and made £6.

Pupils from Phoenix Red made cookies and crisps and made £34.50.

Pupils from Phoenix Orange made biscuits, photocards, bookmarks and posters, making £20.50.

Griffin Blue made decorated plant pots and made a massive £110.

Griffin Purple made bracelets and paper cranes and made £51.45.

And Griffin Green did a French Cafe which made profiteroles, French onion soup, Croque Monsieur, and a homemade smoothie, making £22.20!

This is a total of £244.30 to go towards their end of terms trips and treats!

All the pupils worked really hard on their products and did a great job of selling their items. This helped them work towards many of their community inclusion, independent living and employability skills! Well done Mackenzie Thorpe Centre!
