Mackenzie Thorpe Centre

The Mackenzie Thorpe Centre is an independent specialist school based in South Bank, Redcar and Cleveland for pupils aged 5-19

Working together to inspire, support, celebrate and equip autistic and neurodiverse people to fulfil their potential in life.

To mark Black History Month, our pupils at Mackenzie Thorpe Centre have been learning about the heroic Rosa Parks, the American activist who fought hard for equal rights.

The fantastic lesson was delivered using a specialist technique called Attention Autism, and as you can see from the pictures, the pupils were very engaged and interested.
