Ryedale Folk Museum

This week, students from 3 classes in school visited the Ryedale Folk Museum in Hutten Le Hole to take part in activities linked to their history topic, The Tudors.

We explored a crofters cottage, looking at how the poor would live day to day, we built a miniature cruck frame house and we made bookmarks with our own illuminated letters in the style of religious texts of the period.

Learners enjoyed a full day exploring Tudor life as well as having time to explore the museum and interact with a range of exhibits and games. The beautiful weather definitely helped us to make the most of our time.
