Wellbeing for Life is a service commissioned by Durham County Council and they offer a plethora of activities and services to support the local community to become more active and encourage healthy eating. During the sessions, the personal trainer facilitated the following: Circuit training – trying equipment that learners would not usually have access to such as boxing gloves, boxing pads, weights, step board and medicine balls Working as part of a group, holding the boxing pads for each other and promoting teamwork in a relay-style format Using a timer to encourage speed throughout the activities Building friendships through encouraging other learners whilst they completed the circuits Through participating in personal training sessions, learners have been able to try something new and engage in more exercise, differing from traditional sports whilst utilising unfamiliar equipment. This also develops friendships and teamwork as learners worked in groups throughout the activities. Manage Cookie Preferences
