Learners will attend college either 3 or 5 days a week, Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 3.30pm. We want learners to become as independent as possible and throughout the programme at college we will support learners to make new friends, travel more independently and try new things at college and in the local community. Learners will have opportunities to develop practical skills such as shopping and cooking. By the end of the programme, learners will be more independent and confident. During the programme learners will have the opportunity to develop skills through a range of vocational options including: Catering Retail Business Admin Horticulture Social enterprise activities Work experience / volunteering opportunities A personalised programme could include: Independent living skills Being an active member of the local community Activities that promote health and well-being Learning strategies to regulate emotional well-being and behaviour (positive and proactive support) Opportunities to develop social communication skills Functional English and maths skills Vocational tasters to develop employability skills in practical and realistic work environments Meaningful work experience / volunteering opportunities Entry Requirements Learners must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or SEN Support Plan. All learners are considered on an individual basis and matched to a programme that is best placed to meet their needs, support their outcomes and move them towards their aspirations.
