Marcus has shown a keen interest in Horticulture and has regularly accessed Horticulture on college site as a significant part of his programme. To support Marcus to access an external work experience Thornbeck facilitated the establishment of a new community link with Shaw Trust and Marcus has commenced a weekly work experience. He has participated in a range of tasks including: Participated in a range of roles including gardener and grounds keeper Planted bulbs to prepare the site for customers in readiness for spring/summer Organised a range of plants that are for sale Planted seeds reading to be sold Organised the shed and greenhouses ready for spring Through participating in community based work experience Marcus has been able to transfer and further develop his employability skills.
