Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for pupils aged 4-19

Our mission is to work together inspiring, supporting, celebrating and equipping autistic and neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Travel and transport in Star Class

As part of their term topic, Star class have been exploring modes of travel and transportation.

Kian was able to plan a route to the airport, looking at maps and planning routes, and then accessing a range of buses and the Metro.

Pupils from Star class have been designing and creating their own version of their dream car within their Art and Design Technology sessions. Beep beep.

Moon class enjoy a creative week making their own coloured t-shirts and designing robots in IT.
Beach surprise for litter pickers

When pupils went to the beach as part of their science project, they were delighted to be greeted by the sight of dolphins out to sea.
Recipes for success

Sun class create their own recipes to follow in cookery lessons and have created some delicious dishes.

Star Class go on a scavenger hunt around school to develop their reading and listening skills.
