Thornhill Park School

Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for pupils aged 4-19

Our mission is to work together inspiring, supporting, celebrating and equipping autistic and neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pathway is an individualised Pathway for pupil’s age 3-5 years old with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) ensuring pupils learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe with the specialised support to do so.

This programme is based on education milestones, communication and language development, physical development and personal social and emotional development

The Pathways main aim is to promote teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness’ and gives pupils the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life.
