Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for pupils aged 4-19

Our mission is to work together inspiring, supporting, celebrating and equipping autistic and neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Road safety skills

Pupils in Rainbow Class explored Road Safety week by looking at when it was safe to cross the road.

They developed their fine motor skills with dough crafts and paint dabbing, and combined this with a trip to the park to put their new skills into practice.

Moon class enjoy a creative week making their own coloured t-shirts and designing robots in IT.
Beach surprise for litter pickers

When pupils went to the beach as part of their science project, they were delighted to be greeted by the sight of dolphins out to sea.
Recipes for success

Sun class create their own recipes to follow in cookery lessons and have created some delicious dishes.

Star Class go on a scavenger hunt around school to develop their reading and listening skills.
