Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for pupils aged 4-19

Our mission is to work together inspiring, supporting, celebrating and equipping autistic and neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Rainbow and Comet class explore natural habitats

Pupils from Rainbow and Comet Class have been accessing areas in the local community to increase their understanding and prepare for their "wild challenge award".

They went to Rainton Meadows to explore natural habitats and created sun catchers using natural materials.

They have also been exploring local parks and different materials to increase their understanding of the natural world.

Moon class enjoy a creative week making their own coloured t-shirts and designing robots in IT.
Beach surprise for litter pickers

When pupils went to the beach as part of their science project, they were delighted to be greeted by the sight of dolphins out to sea.
Recipes for success

Sun class create their own recipes to follow in cookery lessons and have created some delicious dishes.
Scavenger hunt for English

Star Class go on a scavenger hunt around school to develop their reading and listening skills.
