Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for pupils aged 4-19

Our mission is to work together inspiring, supporting, celebrating and equipping autistic and neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Emsworth pupils achieve first aid qualifications

Pupils at Thornhill Park school Emsworth were taught essential first aid skills by Ed from the North East Autism Society's in-house training team.

They learned how to apply bandages, place someone in the recovery position, and perform CPR.

All of the pupils who took part in the sessions engaged well with Ed and demonstrated a high level of proficiency in first aid.

Through completing the sessions, pupils achieved Level 2 Awards in Student First Aid.

Moon class enjoy a creative week making their own coloured t-shirts and designing robots in IT.
Beach surprise for litter pickers

When pupils went to the beach as part of their science project, they were delighted to be greeted by the sight of dolphins out to sea.
Recipes for success

Sun class create their own recipes to follow in cookery lessons and have created some delicious dishes.
Scavenger hunt for English

Star Class go on a scavenger hunt around school to develop their reading and listening skills.
