Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for pupils aged 4-19

Our mission is to work together inspiring, supporting, celebrating and equipping autistic and neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Christmas crafts

This week Star class have been learning about Christmas celebrations as part of their topic lesson.

After learning about the nativity they have been developing their fine motor skills by taking part in Christmas crafts. They have been using resources to make hanging spiral Christmas trees and have been supported by staff to use glue and glitter to make wooden glittery stars.

Rainbow and Comet classes play along to songs using a range of instruments and tapping sticks.
Moon class design t-shirts and robots

Moon class enjoy a creative week making their own coloured t-shirts and designing robots in IT.
Beach surprise for litter pickers

When pupils went to the beach as part of their science project, they were delighted to be greeted by the sight of dolphins out to sea.
Recipes for success

Sun class create their own recipes to follow in cookery lessons and have created some delicious dishes.
Scavenger hunt for English

Star Class go on a scavenger hunt around school to develop their reading and listening skills.
