As part of our Careers Education programme, pupils from THPS Emsworth participated in a visit from Stephanie Walker of Choices College, based at The Beacon of Light. Stephanie gave information on the wide range of courses they offered. A few of our pupils asked some really good questions.

Zak asked Stephanie if someone could go to their college if they had a job and was given the answer, 'yes, you could have a Saturday job and go to college during the week.'

Leeroy asked 'do you have to pay to go to college?' Stephanie answered 'no'. This introduced a discussion on university fees. 

Stephanie asked the group what they would like to do as a career after school and Rose answered that she'd 'like to run her own cafe'.

Overall it was a very informative visit with all pupils leaving with thoughts on their future.
