Since 2019 we’ve been campaigning for autism acceptance, working with autistic individuals, families, schools and businesses across the North-east in a bid to change the narrative on how people view and understand autism.

Although we celebrate Autism Acceptance Week every year, our campaigning isn't limited to just these seven days. We work throughout the year to push the message of acceptance and elevate autistic voices to a platform where they can be heard.

Going forward, we will be launching new platforms to get these messages across, and we need your support to do so. Your donation will support autistic people driving their own narrative to a public audience, rather than being excluded from it. These platforms will include:

  • Autism Activists - An activism campaign created, designed and led by autistic school children, to create a visual campaign and have their voices heard on issues that matter to them.

  • This Is Autism: The Podcast - A weekly podcast exploring subjects that matter to autistic people and those who care for them, that hears from autistic people about their experiences and offers practical advice.

  • This Is Autism: Documentary Series - Profiling autistic voices and stories to show good and discuss bad examples of practice and discuss adjustments and solutions, in partnership with businesses or organisations, across five different sectors: education, travel, health, finance and employment.

  • Acceptance Matters Conference - Our yearly conference, held virtually via Zoom, invites a host of autistic speakers to share their lived experience, knowledge and professional expertise to attendees from across the World.

By supporting this campaign, you can help drive the narrative of autism acceptance and make sure that autistic voices are heard loud and clear. Thank you for your support.
