From our inception almost forty years ago the North East Autism Society has been built on sacrifice and generosity.
Founded when a group of parents remortgaged their homes to see a specialist autism school established in Sunderland to help their own sons and daughters, and others alike them, this is no ordinary organisation.
Now supporting hundreds of autistic people and their families across the North-east, we deliver on-the-ground help and support where it’s needed most to those who need it most.
Together our voices are louder... You can help the Society by becoming a member today.

Become a member today we’ll keep you up-to-date with all the latest news from the society. We’ll let you know first about NEAS events and the groups we run in your area. You’ll also be helping us continue our work to change lives.
Membership Options
Gold member – £20 per year | Gold concession* – £5 per year

- Invitation to the Annual General Meeting, at which you will have voting rights and the opportunity to help shape the future of NEAS

Please note that applications are subject to approval by the Board of Trustees
*We understand the last 18 months have been financially difficult for many. The concession membership is open to anyone who feels the full rate membership is not feasible. Please consider what you can afford.Â
Opportunities for members
As a member, you can get involved in NEAS as much or as little as you please.
There’s no pressure to do anything, but if you’re passionate about the cause and want to get involved, we’ll support you every step of the way.

How To Join
We’re so glad you’re wanting to become a member!
For over 40 years the North East Autism Society has been supporting autistic children, young people, adults, and their families.
Partnering with us means we can continue to provide the best possible service across the region, 365 days a year. You’ll also have a say in how we operate as a society and help us change lives.
By paying via direct debit, you’ll not only be helping the planet, you’ll also be helping us save money on printing and posting costs.
