Social Media Toolkit
Help us spread the word about Autism Acceptance Week 2024 with our social media resources.
Since 2019 we’ve been campaigning for autism acceptance, working with autistic individuals, families, schools and businesses across the North-east in a bid to change the narrative on how people view and understand autism.
Six years ago we made an important shift and moved away from simply striving for awareness, pushing for autism acceptance instead. The support we’ve received along the way has been incredible but we know there’s more work to be done.
You can join our campaign by learning more about autistic experience and supporting NEAS in its work to help improve the lives of autistic people.
You can also get exclusive access to our free toolkits, packed with helpful resources on autism and neurodiversity, guides to reasonable adjustments and tips for making your school, organisation or business more inclusive this Autism Acceptance Week.
In 2025, we’re continuing our journey to acceptance. Register to join us for Autism Acceptance Month and help make it our biggest and best year to date!
Schools that sign up will get our exclusive, free-to-download Teachers’ Toolkit for primary or secondary schools. It contains useful information about autism and neurodiversity, guidance on reasonable adjustments, what parents want schools to know, and a range of classroom sessions and activities.
This year, for the first time, we have also put together an Employers’ Toolkit for businesses, covering everything from what is autism to the Equality Act as well as how to make your organisation become more inclusive.
I’d like to register :
We established the Autism Acceptance Award as a way of recognising organisations that are committed to making a real
difference for autistic and neurodivergent individuals. Our Autism Acceptance Award is currently open to businesses working within retail, hospitality, leisure and recreation, healthand transport.
Our amazing Autism Activists have put together an animated video (above) giving an insight into how they see the world to
mark the start of Autism Acceptance Week.
James, Will, Molly and Ed, aged 9-17, used self-portraits and interviews to talk about friendship, creativity, bullying … and what they would do if they ruled the world!
