Based in the heart of Sunderland, our Number 24 day services offer a diverse range of social and vocational programmes for autistic adults.
Our team provides person-centred support in a structured environment where individuals can participate in activities and training programmes that develop their potential and boost social inclusion.
Located in a beautiful Victorian mansion, Number 24 boasts a converted coach house and spacious grounds, including a sensory garden and specialist outdoor gym equipment.
Programmes & Activities
Staff use personalised approaches that enable adults to be actively involved in choosing their own activities and programme areas of interest.
Programme areas cover a variety of crafts from woodworking to floristry, as well as personal skills, and community activities, and are fully supported and tailored to an individual’s interests and needs.
Our Day Services
Hand-crafted cards and products made by the adults at Number 24 are stocked by our charity shop in Derwent Street, Sunderland, where adults also gain work experience helping to run the shop as volunteers.
Each person’s programme consists of important Personal and Social Development areas including communication and social interaction, sensory, personal care, independent living skills, and health and wellbeing.
We recognise the importance of functional skills in lifelong development. Our aim is to support and equip each adult with practical skills they can use in everyday life.
