We pride ourselves on retaining and nurturing the talents of our employees. Many of our current employees have worked their way up the ranks – be it from teaching assistant to school principal, or support worker to managing one of our residential homes. In fact, our Director of Education Chris Dempster joined the Society as a classroom assistant in 1990.

For many of our vacancies, past experience and qualifications aren’t essential. We care about employing the right people and pride ourselves on our comprehensive training programmes. Many of our employees come from very different backgrounds!
Your working hours will be dependant on your role.
If you work in our central or education services in a full time role, you will work 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30.
Our care services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you will be expected to do shift work.
If you work part time you may work between 16 – 30 hours per week, with the option of working overtime.
