Ambitious North East Autism Society development enters phase two
Part of our ongoing Growing Futures appeal, the second phase of development will see several new buildings erected – including a cider mill, a farm shop, and a café.
Sponsor a Tree at New Warlands Farm
The North East Autism Society (NEAS) has launched a new appeal as part of the Growing Futures campaign to sponsor a tree at the ambitious 78 acre development, New Warlands Farm.
From just £20, you can plant a tree and help create a thriving and sustainable environment, all while supporting NEAS’ vital work to change the lives of autistic and neurodivergent people.
“Sponsoring a tree is such a wonderful way to be part of the everlasting legacy at New Warlands Farm,” says Fundraising Manager, Kevin Meikle.
“Not only is it a gift that will last a lifetime, it’s also the perfect way to support our ambitious work in transforming the site into a sustainable visitor attraction and innovative training hub that will provide jobs for autistic and neurodivergent people.”
Packages range from £20 to £200 and above and come with a range of different benefits.
From stunning digital certificates featuring artwork from world renowned artist Mackenzie Thorpe, to personalised tree plaques, invitation to orchard events, and choice of tree variety.

Every donation will go towards our Growing Futures campaign and will contribute towards the planting, growing, and maintenance of the trees at New Warlands Farm, which also includes one of 49 Sycamore Gap saplings donated by The National Trust.
Development on the farm, which will feature a café, farm shop, cider press, retail outlets, specialist play areas, wildlife setting, and a petting zoo, began in November and is scheduled to be completed in August 2026.
