Whether it's a few hours or an extended visit, our residential short breaks service offers respite to both parents and carers, as well as the young people and adults we support.

Our short breaks service offers a safe environment, where children, young people and adults can have fun, make friends, learn new skills and develop independence.

Our adults short breaks provision is based at our New Warlands Farm site in County Durham, the service is accessed by autistic and/or neurodivergent individuals ages 16 or over.

The latest inspection report from the regulator, the Care Quality Commission, said:

"Staff we spoke with said they felt well supported and listened to. They described it as a great place to work."

Our children's short breaks is based at our North East Centre for Autism in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, providing care for autistic and/or neurodivergent children and young people aged 5-18.

Our family support outreach service provides community-based care for autistic and neurodivergent children, young people and adults to help alleviate some of the pressures on families. Family support services are based in Sunderland and North Shields.

Activity Support Assistants for both services work independently and as part of a team, to support the children, young people and adults to access a range of activities, both on site and in the community. Whatever their passions or goals, staff help them widen their experiences and develop their independence in a home-away-from-home environment.

Full time, part time and casual roles are available.
