Oak Class Learner Volunteers at Maxi’s Mates Rescue & Rehoming Centre

One of our enthusiastic learners from Oak Class recently had the incredible opportunity to spend time volunteering at Maxi’s Mates Rescue & Rehoming Centre. During their visit, they generously gave their time to support the centre by helping to walk and exercise some of the rescue dogs in its care.

This hands-on experience was both enjoyable and deeply rewarding, allowing the learner to make a positive difference in the lives of the animals while learning more about the important work carried out by the centre. It also offered a valuable chance to develop responsibility, empathy, and a greater awareness of animal welfare.

The learner thoroughly enjoyed their time at Maxi’s Mates and found the experience so inspiring that they are already planning a return visit in the near future. Well done for making such a meaningful contribution to the community!
