The North East Autism Society has been campaigning for Autism Acceptance since 2019. Overall, learners developed a deeper understanding of Autism Acceptance through exposure to real-life experiences and creative expression. They also built awareness of sensory needs and preferences, while fostering empathy, self-understanding, and respect for individual differences.
