Emsworths Upcoming Girl Band

Welcome all to Emsworth upcoming girl band The supernatural Lemon Scented Bugs, the band consist of students Rose age 14 on lead guitar, Robyn also aged 14 on drums and last but not least Eleanor on bass guitar.

The girls have been working hard on their fortnightly visit at The Bunker in which they have individually had 1:1 session on their chosen instrument.

The Bunker is a nonprofit organisation that serves the local music industry as well as the local community of those in need, it is one of the only places in Sunderland where you can rehearse, record and perform all in the same building.

Since their first session the school have supported the girl’s interest within music and have since bought instruments based at the school that will be getting integrated into the school’s new music room, this so that the girls are able to practice between sessions and also to encourage other students to take an interest in music.

The band would love to be able to work together to practice a song in time for the summer fate to perform for the visitors of Emsworth and are currently practicing in hopes to be ready in time, but lessons are still within the early stages. The band are really enjoying their sessions at the bunker and each week are gaining more confidence and experience.
