Work experience on the farm is a hit with Leland

Pupils from Aycliffe School have been actively engaging in employability lessons. During these sessions, they have been busy creating CVs and exploring potential work experience opportunities in the local area.

Leland, a post-14 pupil at Aycliffe School got hands on with a placement at New Warlands Farm in County Durham, where he had the chance to learn about how the farm is managed, and get stuck in with some jobs, including working with the farms’ flock of sheep.

Work experience gave Leland a chance to proactively build skills he can use in a future career, and he loved working on the farm and herding the sheep!
