The learners had a fantastic day and really enjoyed the experience. We would like to thank Tees Active for giving us this opportunity. Students who participated stated they really enjoyed the day with one identifying the canoeing as his favourite activity.
Participating in this event has promoted learners’ personal development, inclusion within the community, as well as encouraging them to develop their social and communication skills. It has also promoted learners Functional English Skills, by providing opportunities to follow instructions from unfamiliar people, consequently developing their employability skills.
