Hazel Class – Autumn Update

Hazel Class has had a fantastic start to the school year! In September, we were delighted to welcome two new learners to the group. Both have settled in brilliantly and quickly become part of the Hazel Class family. Together, the children have enjoyed a busy and exciting half term filled with learning, creativity, and plenty of fun.

In English and Maths, the class has shown great enthusiasm and focus. They’ve been working hard on addition and subtraction skills, and making fantastic progress in building sentences and sharing stories during literacy sessions. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence growing each week.

One of the highlights of the week is the visit from our Therapy Dogs. The learners look forward to this special time, and some have even learned how to ask the dogs to sit and give their paws – a lovely moment of connection and communication.

Keeping active and healthy is a big part of Hazel Class life. This term, the children have been enjoying regular swimming sessions and trips to the trampoline park, which have been a big hit!

In Art, learners have been getting creative with sensory materials and natural objects collected from outside. They’ve used these to create beautiful autumn-inspired nature pictures while exploring different colours and textures – a lovely way to connect with the changing season.

It’s been a busy and brilliant start to the year in Hazel Class, and they are looking forward to sharing more of their adventures with you in the coming weeks!
