Star Class – New School Year
Star Class have made a fantastic start to the new school year, settling back into their routines and enjoying lots of exciting activities.

Aaron starts Tesco work experience
Aaron from Class 1 at THPS Emsworth was excited to begin his work experience shift at Tesco. Aaron was able to direct staff to the Tesco store and once inside used his communication skills to introduce himself, say where he was from, and ask for Suesie.
Once Suesie arrived, Aaron discussed what he would be doing, was given a tour of the store and shown where the deliveries vans park. Aaron then used his functional numeracy and literacy skills to complete work on the checkout with Dotty from Tesco.
He chatted to customers as he scanned their shopping and took payment from them. Aaron enjoyed this task a lot as he loves to interact with others.
Aaron then collected trolleys and baskets with Colin and put them back in the correct bay, Aaron independently collected the baskets that had been left laying around the store. Aaron stated that he had a brilliant time and can’t wait to go back!
