Aaron came to Thornhill Park School in 2020 and has made a huge impression on everybody he meets. Aaron has achieved an incredible amount during his time with us and made many friends.
On Friday 17th July, Thornhill Park School at our Emsworth site came alive with music, laughter and celebration as learners and staff gathered for this year’s whole-school Prom. Held during the afternoon, the event provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the end of another successful school year.
Kelvin has been enjoying exploring a new place recently. After visiting the Rising Sun Country Park for the first time, Kelvin was excited to go back.
Joshua chose to go to the cinema to watch the new Toy Story movie. Joshua travelled to the local town centre with his staff using his skills he has learnt over the year.
After spending 9 years at Thornhill Park School, it is now time for Ben to leave us. Ben will move onto college to further his education and gain qualifications and skills to take him into employment.
This week for their community visit, learners in Rainbow class visited the Northeast Land Sea and Air Museum linked to Armed Forces Day.
One of Star class has also received a reward in assembly this week. Well done everyone!
This week in topic/art lesson comet class watched a slideshow on various types of snakes and their physical features in comparison to other reptiles.
Brilliant first week back in Star class, we have explored the letter Y in phonics, made fruit kebabs in cookery and in PHSE used paint splat to discover how everyone is different.
Eleanor, a Class 2 learner at Emsworth, has successfully completed their first day at her work experience placement at a local Door-To-Door flower shop, where she impressed staff with her enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Star class have another brilliant week, learning more about time in maths classes, exploring new letters in phonics, and getting some exercise in the sunny weather!
