Unlock Your Potential is part of the North East Autism Society’s Employment Futures service.

As the leading voice concerning autism and neurodiversity in the North of England we are passionate advocates for the skills, talents and abilities of people with autism and the need to see those with an autism spectrum condition (ASC) supported in the workplace.

The scheme is designed to help individuals with an ASC, or learning difficulties, and the confidence and skills to enter the workplace. Successful candidates will be matched to a suitable work placement, and supported through the process.

  • Designed in stages, Unlock Your Potential will help each individual to:
  • Prepare for work through skills audits and assessments, identifying any hidden barriers to meaningful employment.
  • Increase job prospects through CV creation, mentoring and interview coaching, learn how to access the hidden jobs market.
  • Find a bespoke match with an employer who could best use your skills, during a work placement.
  • Find potential future employment matches through access to effective job searches.
  • Apply new skills and techniques from Unlock Your Potential to help find employment.
  • Feel supported during the work placement.
