Thornhill Park School

Thornhill Park School is an independent specialist school based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for pupils aged 4-19

Our mission is to work together inspiring, supporting, celebrating and equipping autistic and neurodiverse children, young people and adults.

Pupils at Thornhill Park School took part in a range of activities in aid of the Ukrainian humanitarian appeal.

Parents and staff kindly donated items to be distributed to checkpoints along the Ukraine and Poland border, arranged by the Polish Community Centre in Newcastle. A number of our young people arranged to take the donated items to the centre.

A coffee morning was also arranged for pupils, parents and carers to raise funds for the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal and to show the school's support for the people of Ukraine.

The dining hall was decorated with a memorial and pupils across school made craft sunflowers to be purchased to be laid by the memorial. Tote bags were also made and art work created by the young people.

A total of £336.07 was raised at the coffee morning and through sales.
