At Thornhill Park School, we recognise the importance for our pupils to have access to various experiences in relation to possible future careers and further education opportunities.  

A number of our post-16 pupils recently had the opportunity to take part in vocational activities at Thornbeck College. Pupils were able to experience the following sessions: 

• Woodwork 
• Vehicle Maintenance 
• Horticulture 
• Catering 
  

The sessions enabled our pupils to experience various opportunities in relation to work, life and future learning, as well as developing practical skills such as team work and problem solving.

The sessions enabled pupils to increase their knowledge and skills within a practical vocational learning environment and further develop employability skills in practical and realistic work environments. This enables our pupils to have access to relevant information to help them make informed choices and decisions in relation to their future aspirations.
