At Thornhill Park School, our pupils celebrated this fun day by creating their own memories: learning about Guy Fawkes and his plot, some students made gunpowder slime using poppy seeds. Other students focused on the mesmerising colours and shapes of fireworks by exploring sensory trays with glitter and blue dried rice, exploring colour by making firework jars using coloured oil and water. Across the school, our classrooms were ready for Bonfire Night: firework, rockets, bonfire and Guy Fawkes art decorated our spaces and reminded us of the night we are all looking forward to. Pupils also had the opportunity to cook traditional Bonfire Night snacks such as hotdogs and edible sparklers with chocolate and sprinkles as well as Bonfire cakes. There was also time for some crazy party poppers which surely made us all laugh! See more news Manage Cookie Preferences
