Not all superheroes wear capes…

But they could all be nominated for a People’s Choice award.

Back by popular demand at our annual Star Awards ceremony, you can nominate a member of staff – or a team – from the North East Autism Society.

This category aims to find out an outstanding performance made by an individual or team who has demonstrated exceptional skill, knowledge and initiative directly impacting, in a positive way, the life or lives of service users, their colleagues or the Society.

Even if you don’t work for the Society can submit entries for this category  - it’s the People’s Choice!

Whether you are a family member, someone who uses our services, a social worker, medical professional, business or charity – or even a fellow staff member you have the opportunity to nominate an exceptional member of NEAS’ staff to take home this prestigious prize at this year’s Star Awards.

Although we don’t need an in-depth nomination we do need to see these three criteria demonstrated:

  • That evidence offered happened within the 12 month-period from April 2018 to May 1st
  • Evidence of you working with /interacting with the person you wish to nominate
  • A personal story of how this person or team has positively impacted your life / service area.

You can:

  • Encourage family and friends to nominate online
  • Ask a member of staff at the school, college, farm or day services for a nomination form
  • Let professional colleagues know about the award and direct them to our website to nominate
  • Nominate as many NEAS staff as you like

NB ** all awards can be anonymous so the person nominated will not know who necessarily who put them forward.**

+The People’s Choice special prize will be provided via sponsorship. NEAS is not paying for this gift.

If you have any queries about the Star Awards please email [email protected]

Closing date for nominations is Friday, June 7th at 5.00pm. The winners for the award will be announced at the awards evening on July 4th at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland.
