This year we want your school to help us raise awareness of autism.

With one in every 100 people thought to have autism, joining us for Autism Awareness Week could help make a difference to the lives of over 64,000 people - and their families - living across the North-east.

These figures mean that right now you probably know at least one person – maybe even in your class – who will have autism or other examples of neurodiversity.

We believe creating opportunities to explain, discuss and celebrate autism is so important for children… and it’s also the perfect opportunity for you to partner with an amazing North-east charity!

Throughout Autism Awareness Week we will be working in partnership with schools to help educate children and young people about what autism is and how they can support a classmate who has, or is going though a diagnosis. We’ll also be enlisting the support of thousands of teachers, pupils and their families in raising much-needed funds to help support the services provided by the North East Autism Society.

Together we can help change lives

Imagine if every pupil across our region was able to give just £1?

Together we could… contribute to our pioneering, specialist schools; support young people living in our incredible children’s homes and launch even more free toddler groups and parent classes!
