What is Pathways Innovation Project?

Moving On Tyne & Wear has brought together North East Autism Society’s Employment Futures, Groundwork NE, and Foundation of Light to provide support which helps adults with autism, learning difficulties and other related health issues overcome barriers to meaningful employment.

Pathways provides one-to-one support to help you achieve your goals to enable you to move into employment, volunteering or training.  

Who we work with
  • Do you live in Tyne and Wear?
  • Are you aged 18+ and eligible to work in the UK?
  • Are you currently unemployed?
  • Have you got autism or learning difficulties?

If so, then please get in touch to find out how the team can support you. A friendly member of the team will talk to you about your needs and tell you about the support that can be offered

What support do we offer?

If you are accepted onto the programme we will provide you with support to:

  • develop plans to improve health and wellbeing
  • develop communication skills for the workplace
  • create a CV, write applications and develop interview skills
  • sample jobs
  • experience the world of work through supported work experience
  • make use of sports and leisure to increase health and boost confidence
  • have in-work support for up to 12 months
